Admission Requirements
Our Office of Admissions is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and by appointment. We remain open throughout the year in order to facilitate inquiries for our admissions periods.
Application Steps Summary

- Start your application..
- Fill out your online application and submit. You will receive a confirmation email.
- Once you have submitted your online application, you can attach your documents and upload them into your application (please submit all required documents as mentioned in the information details).
- Once all documents are submitted, an admissions decision will be made.
To be considered for graduate admission, applicants should submit the following:
- Official transcripts indicating all undergraduate courses attended and the award of the bachelor’s degree.
- Official certified copy of the diploma, if the awarding of the degree is not indicated in the transcripts.
- Explanation of the grading system and scale, if not the American 4-point GPA scale.
- Literal English translations of the diploma and transcripts (if they are not in English). Translations must be official, and certified by an accredited translator or notarized by a competent legal authority. We do not accept photocopies of translations.
- English proficiency results from either a TOEFL or IELTS test.
- A 500-word essay on one of the following two topics: 1. Your past experiences that may have helped you shape your future goals and why. 2. How you expect this graduate program to help you achieve your future career or personal goals.
- Two letters of recommendation. These can be professional colleagues, supervisors, and/or professors who are able to comment on your ability to be a successful graduate student.
- An updated résumé or curriculum vitae.
- Photocopy of passport biographical page/Greek ID Card.
Note: Additional documentation might be requested by the Admissions Committee. All application documents submitted to Webster University become the property of the University and cannot be returned or reproduced. Keep a copy of all documents submitted.
These requirements apply to Webster master’s degree programs.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4-point scale or its equivalent. Academic achievement in programs that use a different assessment scale is evaluated in the context of the relevant academic system.
- The English language proficiency minimum requirement is a TOEFL score of 575 points on the paper-based test (PBT) or 89 points internet-based test (iBT) or an IELTS score overall band 6.5.
- Exceptions: admission to the MBA and the MA Counseling degrees require specific undergraduate prerequisites. Please contact the admissions office for details.
English as a Second Language Contingent Admission
Some applicants are accepted to the University but may have additional English language proficiency needs that can be met by taking English as a Second Language (ESL) courses. These students will be accepted on a contingent basis. Students admitted with an ESL contingency must meet the University's English language proficiency requirements before their contingent admission status can be waived.
Evaluation of Your Application
Each application is reviewed by the Admissions Committee. We look for evidence of your potential to be successful at Webster University. Primary consideration is given to your academic performance the rigor and content of your coursework, your documented English language proficiency, your motivation, commitment and readiness for university life, as demonstrated in your application essay and discussed in your academic recommendations.
International Student Visa Information
Once you are accepted into Webster Athens you will have to secure a student visa to be able to travel to Greece and begin classes. The visa process may take some time depending on the country of origin. It is very important that you allow yourself time for this process so you can arrive in Athens before the beginning of the desired semester and not after it has already begun.
The Municipality here in Athens requires specific documents from the student in order for them to issue the official certificate, which allows you to apply for a student visa. For more information, see Visas and Permits.
